It’s our turn now, Seniors!

I think I speak for most of us in acknowledging how fast these past three years have gone! We have one more year here at Penn to live it up, and your 2010 Executive Board is committed more than ever to ensuring that we have an amazing year.

We started off senior year with Hey Day and your 2010 Executive Board is ready to keep the momentum going. We have a great deal of events lined up for you this year and I challenge each of you to come out and celebrate our Senior year with the rest of the class.

Get pumped Seniors! In September, we will be hosting a kick-off Senior Bar Hop, ‘Seniors Take Over 40th Street’. In October, we’re bringing to you an early taste of Spring Fling, as we collaborate

with SPEC to bring you the ‘Fall Out 2009.’ And of course, we have some great giveaways in store for seniors only at the Penn/Princeton Homecoming Game in November.

FYI: We received positive feedback about the Junior Class Career Panel that was held back in January. Because of your feedback we will be hosting the 2009 Senior Class Career Panel in mid-September in Houston Hall. This year’s theme is “Defining Your Competitive Edge.” As the On Campus Recruiting season gets under way, you will hear from recruiting representatives across some of the world’s leading companies on the defining factors that make top applicants shine above the rest. See the ‘Events’; page for more details—we look forward to seeing you there!

That’s just a sneak preview for what we have in store for you during the fall semester.

As you all know, Feb Club, Ivy Day, the Class Gift Drive, and of course, Senior Week is also around the corner as we look forward to our last semester at Penn. More information on those events to come soon!

To the flyest class to grace Penn's campus:

This has been an amazing year already! I hope that everyone has gotten off to a good start so far. Your Sophomore Class Board is excited about our new webpage, and we welcome you to browse and interact with all that it has to offer.

This webpage will serve as the primary mechanism for us to communicate with you. Always check here for the latest updates.

Most recently, we've made some new additions to the Class of 2010 Executive Board. Carlin Yuen, a student in the School of Engineering was appointed in November of 2007 as the Webmaster/Tech Specialist for the board. In addition, Sakina Zaidi, Dan Smith and Scott Myers have also taken office as directors on our Public Relations team. They will be responsible for external relations to other campus organizations.

Please bear in mind that we are YOUR advocacy body. Always reach out to us whenever a concern that you have comes to mind - no matter how big or small, my primary goal outside of social programming initiatives is to ensure that YOUR voice is heard.

We enjoyed those of you who came on the class trip to Six Flags Great Adventure. Despite the trouble with the transportation company, that day truly turned out to be a great time!

Coming up in February of 2008, we have two events: Clash of the Classes (2/15/2008) and Skimmer (2/27/2008). We want to see our class in high numbers, let's make it happen for both of these events!

'Till next time!
